The folks at Global Multimedia Protocols Group have released XFN 1.1. Eric Meyer writes about it on his blog: XFN 1.1 Released.
I don’t use XFN a whole lot, and I really should. It’s a nifty way to allow search engines and other data parsers to find out more about a link. If I were to put a link to your blog – what would your XFN relationship to me be?
Since I know most of my readers really get a kick out of words here’s a great link about business names and where they came from: List of company name etymologies – Wikipedia.
Props to Dave O’Hara, Mad Scientist, Programmer, Husband and Dad. Oh, and my friend, too 😉
And if you don’t get a kick out of words, shame on you, there are starving kids in China. And lastly Etymology is the study of the root of words and languages. entomology (commonly confused with etymology when pronounced) is the study of insects.
If you’re going to breastfeed in public – cover up please. I vote that you can breastfeed in most places – if you’ve got your teets covered and your udders aren’t overly exposed.
[Those links both happen to be from Dave Barry‘s blog]
You can do it from outside of the envelope here even: PhotoStamps. I’d love to get stamps with all sorts of fun stuff on them, like me, Jessica and Abby. Or just Abby. Or just me making a really weird face, or this.
This flash cartoon About the Olympics is brilliant. Thanks to Tony Nuzzi for sending me the link.
In Brian White’s review of Great Doctrines of Salvation, a class he’s teaching you’ll get introduced to some good theological terms and some debunking of myths of Christianity. A good read, though too brief. I guess I’ll have to get tapes of the class 🙂
If you don’t want a blog, and you really don’t want to have to keep up a web site, but you want to share your photos: try this service out: Zoto.com. Looks simple and straight forward and it allows folks to check out your pictures from all over the nation – including Washington, Texas or say, Nevada 😉
When Mr. Greenfield wrote a blog entry about how Technorati had not taken care of him it circulated like wildfire in the blog community. Their prompt dealing with the situation was vital. Hopefully people will read more carefully as this post: Praise as public as the complaint explains that people twisted things out of hand.
I just noticed that the Post ID (how WordPress identifies this post) for this blog entry is 666. I promise that I’m not selling anything with this post and you can read other entries on this site without writing said post ID on your wrist or forehead. Similarly conspiracy theorists and people with wrong theology will get worred about this. However, I think that it is key to note that scripture says that the church will be taken out of the world before 666 is implemented.
Also of note is the fact that this is actually post number 467 starting from the first post on my old site.
