Number 1 and Number 2

Abby went both types of potty this morning… in the toilette which was a real accomplishment! She’s making progress 🙂

You do expect this sort of bathroom humor here, don’t you? 😉

Dinner With Abby

I had dinner with Abby this morning. No, not real dinner, but pretend dinner. She served me apple, hamburger, beans and tomatoes with Jamba Juice to drink. It was a delectable meal with all the flavor that imagined food can bring. She’s getting so big it’s just amazing.

Last night I was making origami things and she loved the little bird I made. I couldn’t help but think of Tony who’d be making a ‘Kootie-catcher’ for sure.

John and Becca

John and Becca have a blog now. They are my brother and sister-in-laws. They live in WAshington STate. They are college students and they study the snot out of Chinese. Which is good because if they didn’t study Chinese then they would probably be studying something else and then I’d say, “They study the snot out of something else.” Which doesn’t sound good.

Good Morning America

This morning on Good Morning America Diane Sawyer talked about ‘snap’ which has to do with young elementary school children engaging in sexual behaviors based on bracelets being broken. I’m sorry but premiscuous children are premiscuous because of a lot more things than bracelets. Parents should be modeling proper behavior for their children and telling them what sort of behavior they expect. And schools, if they’re worried about this effecting their students should ban the bracelets. While this may sound like censorship or something like the blocking of ‘freedom of speech’ it is not. It is schools causing the children to focus on things like education. Lame.

RSS

I really recommend that if you have a blog (that is 1% of my readers) and you’ve got an RSS feed that you consider copying and using the image at this site BenSinclair.com to let people know that such a feed is available. It’ll help people learn that you’ve got such a feed.

Potty Training Day 2, Morning 1

I don’t know why I put morning one on the first title, but to be consistent, I’m following my incorrect pattern. There is only one morning, unless I’ve missed something.

I was up until midnight last night working on some programming for one of my clients, and then Abby woke up around 1:30 crying. Jessica got up with her and then put her back down. A while later she just came in with her stuffed frog and blanket and tried to stay awake with us (because we wanted to be awake then). She came in, crawled up on the bed and Jessica just let her do whatever while trying to sleep (I don’t blame her, I wanted to sleep, too). Abigail tossed, turned, wiggled and then eventually pushed me over the edge so I got her up, carried her into her own bed where she went back to sleep. Crazy kids… gotta love ’em!

We’ll see how the potty training goes today. Jessica and I keep reminding Abby that she’s got to tell us when she has to go potty. We ask and ask and ask, but she says no. We’ll see how today turns out.

ChristianExodus.org

ChristianExodus.org is a site I’m behind. No, wait, I’m laughing behind their backs (until they read this, and then I’m going to boldly laugh in front of them). Why? Oh, why do we need this sort of thing? Those who disagree with the conservative viewpoints this group holds are most likely going to be thrilled to see them leave. This is certainly not Biblical from my understanding of the scriptures. If we’re called to go out into the world to reach people for Jesus Christ how do we do that from our own state? This is unfortunate.

Potty Training Day 1

OK, so it’s just 6:15 now and we’re through. Abby has gone through more panties than we can count, we’ve done a load of just panties. She’s peeing every 30 seconds it seems, except that she’s not going potty when we put her on the toillette. I’ve written a song to sing to her when she’s on the potty, but it’s not helped either. The song goes something like this:

Abby's on the potty
Abby's going pee
when she's done going potty
we'll throw a big party

Abby's going potty
Abby's going poo
She's nearly done going potty
we'll party when she's through

There has been no partying today.

Potty Training Day 1, Morning 1

Jessica got up this morning and immediately opened up the fresh package of 2T potty training panties for Abigail. Abby is now on the potty and (possibly pre-maturealy) excited about wearing panties 🙂 We’ll see what happens after the first ‘accident.’ Ha ha! This is almost like fun. This will be a week (plus or minus) of lots of cleanup, pray for us there.
