Clinton’s Book Cartoons. I don’t care if you’re right, wrong or left, this is funny.
Wascally Wabbits
We returned home from Carson City to find that Jessica’s plants, while being alive (thanks Brian and Jillia for watching over our place) were damaged because of the rabbits around our apartment complex. Apparently they found our little ‘garden’ (consisting of a few small planters – several on the ground) to be a varitable cornucopia of food.
Oh, well.
This evening we saw a few baby rabbits that were maybe 3 days old, very tiny. Unfortunately one was injured and shaking on the ground. There was nothing I could do to help it (with the exception of putting it out of its misery, something I’m not comfortable doing, especially not in front of Jessica and Abby). However, its siblings were around at first and they scurried away cutely.
Frontier Rocks
I don’t know what Frontier Airlines experiences you’ve had, but this morning we were blessed to be flying them as they held a flight as we wound our way through the 200+ person line to get through security at Reno/Tahoe International Airport. Thanks for waiting for us!
In Transit
This morning we’ll be leaving at 7:00 from Reno and we’ll be in Denver at 10:00. This means that I should be back to work by 1:00 Mountain Time. It also means we’ll miss my brother’s family and my sister’s new family. It also means Abby will have to go through a transition time that could be quite intense 🙂
Exciting News
My ******-in-law is ********. I’m not sure when I can tell you what those asterisks represent, but it’s pretty cool.
New Blog to Monitor
My buddy Ben Linn, and his wife Dorine, have a blog now. Super cool. Ben is really oddly funny so I love to chuckle at what he says. He was the DJ at Becky’s wedding. Ben is a much better MC than I am, he’s funny, he’s got a lot of wit and I’m too focused on changing the songs correctly with little interjection. But that’s a throw back when we use to DJ at ‘Christian Skate Night’ at Skate Trak here in Carson City.
Ben and I used to be in a band together (should have been ‘banned’) in high school and also we played at a coffee house in Reno a couple times. His skillz rock and he’s fun to play with. I look forward to some future playing… when we come to visit again. He and the Missus are a blessing.
GMail Invites
I sent out more invites to GMail today… honestly I don’t find it that powerful or amazing. It is a nice, clean webmail interface, but that is what we try to do with WorldClient as well. I’m working on a Standards based theme for WorldClient that should be able to use CSS and DHTML easily and create a powerful, fast theme that people will want to use. It won’t be browser specific either (though I do use some Mozilla tricks here and there, but only to enhance style and not limit functionality to one browser). We’ll see what happens, hopefully people will receive it well.
Last Day
Today is the last full day here in Carson City and unfortunately I’m going to have to work (it’s not very unfortunate, becauses at least I’ve got clients and an income). However, tonight I hope to get some extra good time in playing with my nephew and hanging out with my brother and his wonderful wife. We’re blessed to have them as family and I wish that I could come visit them more often! Anyway, we’re getting down to the last minutes so I’m not going to blog on and on about it.
Time for Posts is Off
I realize that the time for these posts is off, but that is because I’m in a different timezone than my server usually… but not so much any more. Wednesday things will most likely be back to normal.
Who Cares?
I really don’t think that people care about speed records any more. I think that most people just want to have consistent broadband connections. And I don’t ever expect to move that much data at once.
