My wife is on Weight-Watchers and many of the recipes involving baking usually replace the oil and/or egg with applesauce. You can notice a difference, but nothing major. It can be pretty darn good sometimes.
Actually, my wife makes things with apple sauce as well. She actually makes some good apple sauce. She got a recipe from an inmate (Martha Stewart) that is outstanding. I was going for a joke, but it didn’t really ‘land.’
