For my birthday on Monday I would love for the readers of this blog to post in the comments at least one good thing that has happened to them in the last week (that is G rated 🙂 ). I just looked at the news headlines from the BBC and I just don’t like the death, destruction, and debt being reported around the world and adding to that the detention of Lou Diamond Phillips. It’s just a bit much…
This just in! Adeline Grace White was born this morning at O-Dark-Thirty! The Whites announced that Jillia was preggers and then shuffled off to the Carolinas in search of a home closer to family and tropical storms. But finally, after what has probably been yet another eternal experience of pregnancy, Jillia went into labor last night. Congrats Whites!! Thanks for the new little girl to admire. And Ella, you keep things updated on the website while your parents recouperate 🙂
I had a wonderful lunch with my mother last Wednesday. It’s a not a big thing, especially since they live here now, but certainly something that doesn’t happen often enough.
“God’s smallest blessings are often His greatest.” — Me 😉
Congrats to the White family as well!!
Hey Randy,
As per your birthday request:
Just launched (last week) a client’s retail website:
Sadler and Carter Poker Supply.
EVERY page is XHTML Transitional Validated, no code bloat for quick downloading and search spider food, navigation that follows the three rules of “where am I?, where have I been?, where can I go?”, layout that has already increased their revenue, user forums, and personal blog for the store owner.
Not much of a BBC headline story, but pretty good for me considering the whole project was done in 30 days and done in addition to my regular 40 hour per week job.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
James
….and oh yeah,
Weird Al released his new video “White and Nerdy” at the same time as I released my website.
from the song: “When my friends need a webpage, who do they call? I write H-T-M-L for them all.”
Coincidence?
I think not.
I spent the weekend *not* working and watched some great football with my wife on the couch. That’s some good stuff right there.
