Brave Saint Saturn

I’m listening to Brave Saint Saturn‘s second album, The Light of Things Hoped For.
It has to be one of the most passionate, emotive albums I own.
One song, Estrella, nearly makes me cry.
While that makes me sound like an emotional wuss, I must confess that the content of the song strikes a cord in my heart: my motivations are sometimes so shallow.

If I had a goal for 2004 it would be to be even more passionate about abiding in the Holy Spirit and letting the Lord be Lord, even when it doesn’t feel good to my greedy, selfish flesh.
I praise God that His son died for me so that I could even have a choice to not choose sin.
I’m grateful that in Heaven we’ll get new bodies that will be perfected and will give even greater glory to our Redeemer!
That being said, Brave Saint Saturn’s albums are really worth owning – Reese Roper is a brilliant writer.

We’ll miss Five Iron Frenzy (a band that had members of Brave Saint Saturn in it), but I’m glad to still have at least one more album from BSS coming out.
I still have yet to get the last 5Fe album, but it’ll be available to me at some point in time – I may get it from their site.

Anyway, I just thought I’d tell you that I liked their album and suggest that you consider owning it.

Resting in Him,

Randy “Cry Baby” Peterman
